Measure & Report (Transparency)
We’ll track Jet CX’s emissions annually across business travel, electricity (remote/coworking), equipment purchases, and key suppliers. Each year, we’ll publish a simple progress update showing what we emitted, what we reduced, and what we offset.
Reduce Travel Emissions (Remote-first delivery)
We’ll deliver most workshops and project work remotely, and only travel onsite when it genuinely adds value. When travel is required, we’ll bundle onsite days into fewer trips and avoid repeated short visits.
Low-Carbon Workspace & Commuting (Hybrid by design)
As we move into a private coworking office within 12 months, we’ll prioritise spaces powered by renewable electricity, strong recycling, and easy public transport access. We’ll keep office attendance to 1–2 days per week on average to minimise commuting emissions.
Smarter Procurement & Offsets (Reduce first, offset last)
We’ll cut “embedded” emissions by keeping devices longer, choosing efficient hardware, and favouring suppliers with credible sustainability commitments. We’ll offset only unavoidable residual emissions using high-integrity, verified carbon credits on our path to Net Zero by 2030.
Co-working office: choose low-carbon by design
When selecting a private co-working space, Jet CX will prioritise:
- Renewable electricity options or clear building-level renewable commitments
- Strong recycling and waste practices
- Locations near major public transport to reduce commuting emissions
- Minimal fitout and reuse of existing furniture/infrastructure
Digital footprint: lean operations
- We keep our digital operations efficient by:
- Keeping our website and media assets lightweight
- Avoiding unnecessary data storage and duplication
- Preferring suppliers with renewable or net-zero commitments where possible
Commuting: low frequency, low impact
Our hybrid model is intentionally light: 1–2 office days per week on average.
- How we keep commuting low:
- Encourage public transport where available
- Flexible office days to help reduce peak-hour trave
- Promote carpooling where driving is necessary
Optimise: Work smarter, waste less
We reduce emissions by optimising how we operate, fewer unnecessary meetings, fewer repeat visits, and fewer “rework” cycles caused by messy delivery. By standardising templates, streamlining project delivery, and keeping a remote-first model, Jet CX cuts travel and time waste while still delivering high-quality outcomes.
Equipment & procurement: buy less, keep longer
We reduce “embedded” emissions (the emissions created when products are manufactured and shipped) by keeping gear longer and choosing better options.
- Our commitments:
- Target 4–5 year laptop lifecycle where feasible
- Repair-first approach (battery replacements, parts, servicing)
- Responsible end-of-life disposal via certified e-waste recycling
- Preference for energy-efficient devices where available
Sustainability & Net Zero by 2030
How we will reduce emissions
Travel can be the largest source of emissions for a consultancy—so we treat it as a primary reduction target.
Business travel: reduce, bundle and replace
Jet CX is committed to achieving Net Zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2030.We’re building a low-footprint consulting model that prioritises practical reduction first—then offsets only what we can’t eliminate.
- What we do:
- Remote-first workshops, discovery sessions, and training where practical
- When onsite is needed, we bundle work into fewer trips (e.g., multi-day blocks)
- Avoid repeated “single-day” travel where it can be replaced by video delivery
- Economy flights where flying is unavoidable (lower footprint per passenger than premium cabins)
Our operating model
(designed to stay low-carbon)
Remote-first, travel-smart delivery
Jet CX is currently fully remote, with a plan to move into a private co-working space within the next 12 months. Even then, we will operate hybrid—typically 1–2 days per week in the office. This keeps emissions low while still supporting collaboration and client delivery.
What “Net Zero” means at Jet CX
- Net Zero means we will:
- Measure our greenhouse gas emissions annually
- Reduce emissions year-on-year using real operational changes
- Offset the remaining unavoidable emissions using high-integrity, verified carbon credits
Our approach follows widely used emissions categories:
Scope 1: direct emissions
e.g., fuel we burn ourselves
Scope 2: purchased energy emissions
e.g., office energy that we purchase where applicable
Scope 3: indirect value chain emissions
e.g., business travel, equipment purchases, work-from-home estimates, key suppliers
As a consulting business, our biggest emission drivers are typically business travel, purchased equipment and electricity.
How we measure and report
Jet CX will track and report emissions annually using a simple, transparent method appropriate for a growing business.
What we will measure:
- Business travel activity (flights, rideshare/taxis, accommodation nights)
- Electricity usage for our office environment (or a defensible estimate where exact data is unavailable)
- A non-invasive work-from-home estimate (not personal monitoring)
- Equipment purchasing and replacement volumes
- Key supplier categories where data can reasonably be obtained
Transparency
We will publish annual progress updates outlining:
- Our estimated emissions for the year
- What we reduced and how
- What remains unavoidable
- What we offset
Offsets
- We treat offsets as the final step—not the strategy. Where offsets are required for residual emissions, Jet CX will use:
- High-integrity, verified carbon credits
- Preference for projects with strong additionality and transparent verification
- Public disclosure of offset volumes and approach in our annual update
Our Five year Timeline
2030
Net Zero achieved
Goal: Net Zero annually and maintained moving forward. - Continue reductions
- Offset only unavoidable emissions
- Publish yearly Net Zero status updates2029
Audit-ready reporting + minimal residual emissions
Goal: Reduce the remaining footprint and strengthen verification .
- Maintain year-on-year reductions
- Improve reporting quality and documentation
- Residual emissions small and clearly attributable2028
Improve data quality + deeper Scope 3 coverage
Goal: Improve accuracy, supplier visibility, and reduction impact.
- Expand supplier and purchasing coverage (core SaaS, cloud, hardware)
- Refine work-from-home and office energy estimates
- Further reduce travel footprint through bundled onsite delivery2027
Coworking transition + first major reductions
Goal: Lock in structural reductions and begin neutralising residuals .
- Move into a private coworking office selected using low-carbon criteria - Confirm renewable electricity arrangements (direct plan or provider commitments) - Publish first annual progress update- Begin offsetting unavoidable residual emissions (high integrity credits)2026
Baseline & foundations
Goal: Establish measurement and reduction systems that scale. - Create our baseline emissions inventory (Scope 1–3 categories relevant to Jet CX)
- Implement formal policies for travel, procurement, equipment lifecycle, and hybrid work
- Begin quarterly internal tracking and annual public reporting
What this means for our clients
Jet CX’s Net Zero pathway supports more sustainable delivery by design:
- remote-first collaboration and project delivery
- fewer onsite days through smarter scheduling
- reduced operational waste from clearer, stable frontline processes
